VETERANS APPEALS

Privacy Policy

Updated September 21, 2026

This notice describes how the Veterans Appeals website handles website visits and inquiries. Questions may be sent to admin@moricks.com or P.O. Box 733, Silver Spring, MD 20918.

Information you submit

Contact and referral forms request contact information and a brief description of your inquiry. Attorney referrals also request admission information, case status, and relevant dates. The firm uses this information to respond to your inquiry and assess whether the matter fits its practice.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, medical records, client identifying information, privileged material, or other sensitive documents through these forms. Contact the firm to discuss how to provide additional information if needed.

Form processing and other providers

Forms are processed by FormSubmit and sent to the firm by email. FormSubmit and the email providers involved handle the information needed to deliver the inquiry. FormSubmit may use cookies and spam-prevention services, including reCAPTCHA. See FormSubmit’s privacy notice and Google’s privacy policy.

The site also loads fonts or supporting resources from external providers, including Google. When your browser requests those resources, the provider receives network information such as your IP address. Links to social networks, maps, and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices.

Website analytics

The site uses a self-hosted analytics system to understand page visits, broad traffic-source categories, interactions with the attorney referral form, and clicks on phone and email links. It records a random event identifier, a random browser-tab session identifier, a timestamp, the public page path, and the type of interaction.

The analytics database does not receive form contents, names, email addresses, medical information, full referring URLs, URL query strings, raw browser user-agent strings, or raw IP addresses. The browser uses session storage rather than a persistent analytics cookie; a new session begins after 30 minutes of inactivity. Session counts do not identify individual people.

The tracker skips collection when the browser sends Do Not Track with a value of 1 or enables Global Privacy Control. A short-lived hash derived from an IP address is used for abuse prevention and expires after about 60 seconds.

Server logs and retention

Ordinary web server logs are separate from analytics and may contain IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, and referring pages. They support website operation and troubleshooting.

The analytics maintenance task deletes events older than 90 days. Daily analytics backups are retained for 14 days, so an event can remain in those backups for approximately 104 days. These periods describe the analytics system, not email correspondence, other server logs, or records maintained for a legal matter.

Your inquiries and choices

You may choose to call instead of using a form. For questions about information you have submitted, or to request a correction or deletion, contact admin@moricks.com. The firm will consider the request in light of applicable recordkeeping and professional obligations.

This notice may be updated as the website’s features or practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
