Bufkin v. Collins
As a Board attorney, Mo Ricks drafted the Board of Veterans’ Appeals decision in the Bufkin matter. The case later reached the U.S. Supreme Court, which issued its decision on March 5, 2025. His role was at the Board stage.

Meet Our Founding Attorney
Mo Ricks previously worked at VA’s Office of General Counsel and the Board of Veterans’ Appeals. His practice now focuses on representing veterans before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He reviews Board decisions for legal error and helps clients understand the court appeal process.
Mr. Ricks is a graduate of Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College, and is committed to representing individuals over powerful entities. In his free time, Mr. Ricks enjoys family time, reading, hiking, astrophotography, and escaping into the Maine wilderness.
Notable Appellate Experience
During his government service, Mo Ricks worked on matters that raised significant questions in veterans law. He now brings that experience to representing veterans before the Court.
Boehringer v. Collins
While serving as a VA appellate attorney, Mo Ricks was on the brief for the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in Boehringer. The Court’s July 15, 2026, en banc opinion identifies Mohammad R. Ricks among the attorneys on the Secretary’s brief.
